Funeral service for Thomas Morris Pippin, Jr., 83, of Miller Grove, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 21, 2015 at Miller Grove United Methodist Church with Rev. Howard Strickland officiating. Interment will follow at Miller Grove cemetery with Military Honors by the Hopkins County Military Coalition, with Jeff Maeker, Clete Wise, Brandon Kubacak, Steven Sparks, Calvin Earp, and Chance Jones serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Johnny Ferguson, T.S. Lamb, Junior Dickens, Octave Woods, and Bobby Plunk. Visitation will be held Friday, November 20, 2015 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at West Oaks Funeral Home. Morris passed away Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at Lake Point Medical Center in Rowlett.

He was born February 2, 1932 in Miller Grove, the son of Thomas Morris Pippin, Sr. and Bonita Estalena Maud Wise. Morris married Joyce Worldturner on April 9, 1992 in Las Vegas, and she survives. Morris worked for Lockheed Martin for 35 years as an Engineer, was a member of Miller Grove United Methodist Church and he also served in the United States Army.

In addition to his wife, he is also survived by daughters, Melissa Johnson and husband Bob of Burleson, Ayapatia Smith of Oklahoma, grandchildren, Ethan Johnson and Jeff Johnson.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his son Richard Allen Smith.
