Memorial service for JoAnn Allen, age 84, of Point, will be held Saturday, Aug. 29, at First Baptist Church, in Point, at 11:00 am. Visitation will be at 10:00 am. Bro. Zachary Honzell will officiate.
Burial will be at a later date in Lynch Cemetery.
JoAnn passed away Monday, Aug. 24, 2015, at Mesquite Specialty Hospital. She was born Nov. 11, 1930, in Point, to Lester and Sadie Mae Moore Rabe. She was raised in the Point area, and, graduated from Point High School. She married J.W. Allen in Houston. JoAnn was a homemaker, and, also, a member of First Baptist Church in Point. In her later years, she worked as a library assistant at Rains County Library. JoAnn was a member of the Point Ladies Civic Club, and, was counted as a Friend of the Library.
