Funeral services for Dorothy Faye Pierce Hall, age 85, of Sulphur Springs will be conducted at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 14, 2015 with Rev. Charles Rawlinson and Benny Potter officiating. Interment will follow at Cumby Cemetery, with Gerald White, Gerald Wilburn, J.C. White, Chris Wilburn, Justin Coleman, Josh Wilburn, Rick Murray and Alvis Carter serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Monday, July 13, 2015 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
Dorothy passed away Sunday, July 12, 2015 at Sunny Springs Nursing Home. She was born in Bairdstown on June 18, 1930, the daughter of Joe and Ollie (Seymore) Pierce. She married George Hall on September 21, 1946 in Cumby. He preceded her in death in 2002. She retired from J.C. Penney and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include: daughters, Pam White and husband Gerald and Annette Wilburn and husband Gerald, both of Sulphur Springs; son, George Hall, Jr. of Sulphur Springs; sisters, Geneva Boggs of Sulphur Springs and Patsy Murray of Canton; brother, Raymond Pierce of Cumby; grandchildren, Jamie Dodd, J.C. White, Chris Wilburn, Joshua Wilburn, Katy Wilburn and Amy Harrington; great-grandchildren Justin Coleman, Jenni Huie, Bethany Hokett, Anthony Harrington, Jr., Angenay Harrington; great-great-grandchildren, Dillan Coleman, Lillian Coleman, Brett Coleman, Braydin Miller, Karsin Miller, Hannah Huie and Laila Huie.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Linda Hall Perkins, grandsons Jack Perkins, Jr., and Joseph Wilburn and sisters, Sybol Stevens, Peggy Millsap and Alaska Nance.
