Funeral Services for Jane Glover, age 73, of Sulphur Springs will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., Thursday May 14, 2015 at West Oaks Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Fred Lewis officiating. Interment will follow at Sulphur Springs City Cemetery with David Toops, Spencer Calavan, Jerry Debin and Steve Calavan serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Love Sunday School Class of First Baptist Church, Armond Beaty, Frank Bell and Jerrel Beck. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday May 13, 2015 at West Oaks Funeral Home.
Mrs. Glover passed away May 10, 2015 at Carriage House Manor. Mrs. Glover was born on January 13, 1942 in Durant, OK, the daughter of William Robert and Rosa Lee Mitchell Sammons. She married Bill Glover on December 22, 1972 in Paris, TX, he survives. Mrs. Glover was a teacher for Head Start, Bee County College and Paris Junior College. She taught classes for her Love Sunday School Class at First Baptist Church and private piano lessons for many years. She was a member of First Baptist Church and a member of the Hopkins County Historical Society and WMU.
In addition to her husband Bill she is also survived by her daughters Julie Toops and husband David of Lucas, TX, Jennifer Calavan and husband Spencer of Burleson, TX, grandchildren, Emily and Erin Calavan. Mrs. Glover was preceded in death by her parents and an infant son.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Terrific Tuesday, 301 Church Street, Sulphur Springs, TX.
