Sanford L. Belcher Jr.

Sanford L. Belcher Jr. 81, of Sulphur Springs formerly of Commerce passed away on Thursday, April 2, 2015.

Sanford (Junior) was born in Hunt County, on June 11, 1933, to Elsie MayKay Belcher and Sanford L. Belcher Sr.

He was a retired Plumber and gave 20 wonderful years with the Commerce Fire Department, Sanford also proudly served his country in the United States Army,(Korea). On September 15, 1994 Sanford married the love of his life, Irene Hall.

To know Junior was to love him, he was a friend to all.

He is survived by his wife, Irene Hall Belcher, of Sulphur Springs,his three sons: Ronney Belcher and wife Mary, of Sulphur Springs, Larry Keels and wife Gail, of Commerce, his two daughters: Lynn Belcher Yall, of Sulphur Springs, and Patresa Belcher Reynolds,of Sulphur Springs, his two step-sons: David Hall and wife Patricia, of Sulphur Springs and Dalton Hall and wife, Dehlia, of Sulphur Springs and step-daughter, Sarah LaWanda Freeman, of Cumby. his twelve grandchildren, his five great-grandchildren, he is also survived by his brother David Belcher, of Denison, and, his sister, Janice Taylor, of Plano.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Sanford Sr. and Elsie Belcher, his five brothers: Richard, James, RoyLee, Doyal and Darrell and his one sister, Pauline Erwin.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Monday, April 6, 2015, at 2:00 P.M. at Jones-Walker & Son Funeral Home Chapel of Commerce.

Visitation will be one hour prior to service time.

Pallbearers will be Brad Rollins, Stanley Horton, Danny Horton, Ricky Belcher, Cody Cameran, Sanford Belcher, Philip Belcher and Jarrad Horton.

Burial with Military Honors will follow at Ridgeway Cemetery in Sulphur Springs.
