Funeral Services for Jim Cobb, age 60 of Sulphur Springs, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at First Baptist Church – Sulphur Springs, Spence Chapel with Rev. David Moreland, Richard Couch and Pastor Mark Bryant officiating. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park with Phillip Therwanger, Jason Walden, Gary Sullivant, Howard Stephenson, Marvin Crain and Pete Bailey serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Erwin Cain’s Sunday School Class. Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 14, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
Jim passed away on Monday, April 13, 2015 at his residence. He was a member of the First Baptist Church – Sulphur Springs, member of the Panther Creek Hog Association, received a BA of Finance from NLU in Monroe, LA and was a buyer for Flowserve Manufacturing.
He was born on May 13, 1954, the son of James Keith and Eudell (Adams) Cobb in Monroe, LA. He married Cathy Geiger on December 17, 1983 in West Monroe, LA.
Survivors include his wife; daughter, Chelsea Marie Cobb McKinnon and husband, Tristan of The Colony, TX and sister, Rebecca Cobb Nixon and husband, Ray of West Monroe, LA.
