Memorial services for Gregory Lynn Reed, age 52 of Como will be held Thursday, April 23, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Plunkett officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
Gregory was born the son of Robert Leonard and Donna Sparkman Reed on October 5, 1962 in Lubbock, TX. He married Anida Mitchell on March 3, 2003. He worked for Texas Roof Management of Richardson for over 20 years and leaves behind many good friends there. He graduated from Como-Pickton High School in 1981. He loved football and held the record for kicking the longest field goal.
He is survived by his wife, father, children Wade and Olivia Juarez of Winnsboro, Holly and Tim Allen of Como and Melinda Juarez of Roswell, New Mexico; six grandchildren; Autum and Allie Juarez of Midland, Raylea Juarez of Winnsboro, Dylan and Tennley Allen of Como and Mylie Juarez of Roswell, New Mexico. Also surviving he leaves three sisters; Gwen Robinson of Sulphur Springs, Robin Wells of Cumby and Tina Shirley of Tyler. Twelve nieces and nephews and eleven great nieces and nephews.
Greg was preceded in death by his mother, father-in-law Oran Mitchell, sister-in-law Angie Mitchell, nephew Clay Mitchell and his grandparents J.B. and Verdanell Sparkman.
Memorials can be made to Clay Mitchell Memorial Scholarship Fund at City National Bank in Sulphur Springs.
