Dorothy “Dot” Saul

Funeral Services for Dorothy “Dot” Saul, age 89 of Sulphur Springs, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at Gafford Chapel United Methodist Church with Rev. Fred Lewis officiating.  Interment will follow in the Gafford Chapel Cemetery with Bryan White, Daniel Roper III, Ace Hamner, Stewart Ham, Buzzy Ivey, Dr. Mark Miller and Dr. Dan Roper, Jr. serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Biankah Miles, LaWanda Rape and the care givers at Carriage House Manor.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

Dorothy “Dot” passed away on Sunday, January 18, 2015 at Carriage House Manor.  She retired from Western Union where she met her husband, Jack.

She was born on March 5, 1925, the daughter of C. W. and Zora Mildred Kirby Warren in Austin, TX.  She married Jack Saul on August 6, 1945 in Austin, TX.  He preceded her in death in 2006.

Survivors include: daughter, Debbie Price and husband, Gregg of Sulphur Springs; brother, Robert Warren of Germantown, TN; grandchildren, Natalie Paige White and husband, Bryan and Abbey Ellen Roper and husband, Daniel; great-grandchildren, Mason Greggory White, Charlie James White, Hannah Rose Roper and Jack Hodges Roper.

Along with her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Frances Smith and Janie Beard and brothers, Hulen Warren and James Warren.

Memorials may be made to Gideons International or First Baptist Church – Sulphur Springs – Preschool.
