April 26, 2024 – A Hopkins County Sheriff’s officer noticed a 1999 white Honda with expired registration near the corner of Houston and Church Streets. As the car turned into a mearby parking lot, the officer noticed the passenger of the Honda tossing something out of the vehicle. The officer approached the vehicle and asked the driver and passenger to exit the vehicle as a strong odor of marijuana was emitting from the vehicle.
