April 19, 2024 – The Annual Sulphur Springs City-Wide Spring Clean-Up is planned for Monday, April 22, 2024, thru Saturday, April 27, 2024. City residents may carry large items to discard from 7:00am to 7:00pm to the Sulphur Springs City Collection site.
To verify the individual arriving with trash is a resident, living within the city of Sulphur Springs, those bringing large items to dispose of will be asked to show proof of city residents by showing a driver’s license, or city utility bill, with their current physical address on it.
The city collection site will not accept containers or appliances with hazardous or harsh materials. If discarding a refrigerator, for example, you must show documentation that the Freon within has been removed. No paint, batteries, tires, or other household hazardous wastes will be allowed.
Residents do have to bring their own garbage to the clean-up site; Sulphur Springs will not provide a means to do so. There are usually individuals on-hand to help city residents who do take advantage of the City-Wide Spring Clean-Up by brining items to dump. They can help with some items but residents for the most part will be responsible for offloading their own garbage.
The Sulphur Springs city collection site will be located about half a mile east of the 4 way stop at Jefferson ST (HWY 67) and loop 301.
