Two Sulphur Springs’ Men Were Arrested After a Drive by Shooting

Two Sulphur Springs’ men were arrested after a drive by shooting in the 400 block of Bill Bradford Road just after 12:30 p.m. Tuesday. No one was hurt. District Attorney Investigator Kenny Stillwagoner witnessed the shooting and followed the suspect’s truck. Sulphur Springs School Board Adopted its’ Budget for This School Year

The Sulphur Springs School Board adopted its’ budget for this school year at a special meeting Monday night. The overall budget included budgets for the general fund, debt service and food service. The board also approved a tax rate for the budget of a little over $1.35 per $100 valuation. The Maintenance and Operation portion is $1.04 and the Interest and Sinking Fund is just over 31-cents.

The Sulphur Springs School Board will conduct a public hearing on the tax rate for the budget for this school year at a special meeting Monday at 6 p.m. in the Board Room at the Admin Building.
