Man Charged With Deadly Conduct
A 49-year old Wylie man was charged with deadly conduct after he reportedly pointed a handgun at a driver as he passed him on I-30 in the Sulphur Springs area Saturday at around 11 a.m. A DPS trooper stopped the suspect in Titus County. CANHelp at 613 Gilmer Street will be having its’ fourth annual Pack the Bus school supplies drive Friday, August 8, from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. to benefit students in Hopkins County school districts. City of Sulphur Springs Director of Finance Peter Karstens will distribute copies of a draft budget to City Council members at a workshop meeting Tuesday evening, August 5, at 6 p.m. Karstens is expected to give a brief overview of the budget. Sulphur Springs Class of 2016 Holding Fundraiser
The Sulphur Springs class of 2016 is having a Back to School 5K Color Run fundraiser on Saturday starting at 7 a.m. at Celebration Plaza. Wildcat Season Tickets On Sale Monday
This is Season Tickets Week for Wildcats Football Fans. It will take place in the High School Media Center. Monday and Tuesday are for renewals for current ticket holders. Those that renew can request upgrades on Wednesday. Tickets that are left go on sale Thursday and Friday.
