City Council Awarded Bid For Employee Health Insurance

The Sulphur Springs City Council awarded a bid for employee health insurance that will cause rates to go up 4% for spousal and dependent child coverage for employees. The Lady Cats’ volleyball team opened practice by running a mile at 6:45 a.m. Monday. Methamphetamine, Marijuana Found

A 35-year old Sulphur Springs man was arrested on two counts of possession of a controlled substance Sunday night. Lawmen, who responded to a disturbance in the 600 block of Church Street, found 13.1 grams of methamphetamine, quite a few pills and some marijuana. RV Catches Fire

Fire heavily damaged the back end of an RV at Shady Lake RV Park in Hopkins County Saturday evening. The blaze was reported just after 8:30 p.m. Saturday.
