“Updated” Coach Young on Ennis Friday
Wildcats Offensive Coordinator Matt Young said the Wildcats didn’t throw much Friday night against Marshall because the running game was working so well. The Wildcats gained almost 400 yards on the ground. Coach Young called playing Ennis a great opportunity. He noted that there is a reason you play the games because every week there were teams that win that were not supposed to win.

Wildcats Offensive Coordinator Matt Young said he was overall happy with the way his offense played against Longview, whom he called a great opponent. Coach Young liked that his offense played fast and physical. He said the Marshall defense is fast and impressive up front and quick in the secondary. But Coach Young added if the Wildcats execute, play fast and take care of the ball, they’d put it into the end zone.

Wildcats Offensive Coordinator Matt Young likes his offense’s athleticism and the way they play with fast pace and tempo that wears down opponents. He sees doing that being a key to playing Longview well Friday night. He says the Lobos have the best defense and the best defensive line the Wildcats have played however he says the Wildcats offense and the Wildcats offensive line is also the best the Lobos have played this year.
