Christmas in the Park 2023

December 16, 2023 – The 2023 Christmas in the Park event was a hit. Folks from all over the area came to Pacific Park in Sulphur Springs and joined together to bring kids Christmas joy. There was hot popcorn… Bikes and other prizes given away… The hay ride through the neighborhood was very popular. Volunteers prepare the trailers for the hay ride. And of course, Mr. and Mrs. Clause made the scene. They do resemble Mr. and Mrs. Wright don’t they?

December 15, 2023 – COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Texas A&M Forest Service presented a check for $22,389 to the Association of Former Students today. The funds are from timber sustainably managed and sold on the John Henry Kirby Memorial State Forest. The state forest, originally known as State Forest #4, was gifted to Texas A&M Forest Service in 1929 by lumber baron John Henry Kirby.
