October 20, 2023 – The students of Celina ISD won the 2023 Help-A-Child Welding Competition this year. Student teams from 27 schools all welded the same project for the competition. The student team from Cumby ISD placed 8th over all, just behind Sulphur Springs ISD. Cumby ISD Welding Team. Ryan Davis, Isaac Taylor, Jace Evans and Lane McCraw. They placed 8th.
