Planning the first Dinner Bell Meal, 2012
We are preparing the same menu we served opening day Wednesday, February 1st, 2012
100 meals were prepared, only 7 meals served. Since those humble beginnings we have expanded to nearly 100 people served each week.

Dinner Bell to Celebrate Founders Next Week
The founders of Dinner Bell at the First United Methodist Church in Sulphur Springs are moving away soon. A special Dinner Bell meal will be prepared for Wednesday June 14th, 2017 to recreate the inaugural meal. As always, everyone is welcome to share a meal with us.

Dinner Bell Meal was Jim’s Favorite
Jim Rooks
Jim Rooks, a long time member of First United Methodist Church of Sulphur Springs, TX, loved the dish named Mexican Stack Up. His memory was celebrated at Dinner Bell Wednesday May 31st, 2017. Family members filled key serving positions at the weekly community meal.
For dessert, a Mexican chocolate cake was served. “Jim loved all things chocolate, and Mexican Stack Up was his favorite.”
Before Jim lost his battle with cancer, he also volunteered at Dinner Bell.
