We Are Back from the Thanksgiving break to welcome our friends for a Tex-Mex flavored meal. Same time (11:45 a.m.). Same place (Fellowship Hall of the First United Methodist Church). Come join us for food and fellowship.

This week’s Dinner Bell was an early celebration of Thanksgiving, complete with turkey and dressing, cranberry sauce, sweet potatoes, green beans, yeast rolls, honeycrisp salad, and pumpkin pie, as a well as a sugar-free pumpkin fluff. The meal was sponsored and served by volunteers from the Knights of Columbus. The Dinner Bell Ministry would like to extend their thanks to all of the Community Partners from throughout the year, as well as the FUMC and the friends who join them for each meal. As we pause to thank our Lord for the many blessings we receive in the United States of America, the Dinner Bell Ministry wishes to show gratitude to our Community Partners, the many ministry volunteers, the First United Methodist Church, and the friends who break bread with us each week.
Golden Agers Gift Tree Up at Senior Citizens’ Center
If you would like to adopt a Senior Citizen for Christmas, please come down and pick a name off the 2017 Golden Agers Gift Tree, now up at the Sulphur Springs Senior Citizens Center! The Program will be running from December 4th – December 15th.
Lydia and Rachel Bailey, shown in the photo below, came from the Sulphur Springs Church of the Nazarene and picked 20 names off the tree for their Church Family to Adopt. Last year the Church took 13 names off the tree. This year they wanted to bless a few more seniors.

This week’s community meal, served each Wednesday at the FUMC, included white turkey chili, garden salad, cornbread muffins, and a Southern pecan praline cake and sugar-free orange cottage cheese fluff for dessert, and was sponsored and served by City National Bank. This week’s Dinner Bell was sponsored and served by cheery volunteers from Super Handy Convenience Stores. The meal included hamburger steak in a brown onion gravy, cheese grits, spicy roasted carrots, salad, yeast rolls, with assorted cookies and a sugar-free chocolate pudding for dessert.
