Free Breakfast Every First Saturday At St. James Church in Sulphur Springs.
November 2, 2023 – Stop by St. James Church on 297 Texas St on the first Saturday of the month for a free breakfast. Parishioners will be serving the public from 8AM until 10AM.
This meal is free to the public and everyone is welcome.

Dinner Bell Menu For November 1, 2023
Diversified Storage Systems, Tim and Michelle Dollison, is a return Community Partner for the Dinner Bell Feeding Ministry. The Dollison family has supported this ministry with four occasions yearly for many years. Their continued support pleases the Dinner Bell greatly. They are true FRIENDS of Dinner Bell!!!
Members of Christus Hospital E M S will be present to help with food packaging and distribution.
GRAB and GO with a meal from the distribution area under the covered driveway (porte cochere) on the Northeast corner of the First United Methodist Church campus starting around 10:30 a.m. lon Wednesday.

Join the folks at League Street Church Of Christ for a Trunk or Treat on October 31, 2023. All the fun starts at 5:30PM. The fun goes on till all the candy is given away. Meet in the front parking lot.
Old-time Gospel Singing on Celebration Plaza
October 23, 2023 – Jerry Savage, minister at the League Street church of Christ, invites everyone to Celebration Plaza on October 29th, 2023. Starting at 5PM, there will be an old-time gospel singing on the Plaza.
For those who want to sing the old hymns, in a cappella style, join hundreds of worshippers from around the County at this second annual Unity Sunday event.
Teens are invited to stay after and share ice cream at The Magic Scoop.

Alliance Bank, its officers and employees, is the Community Partner for this meal. This is that entity’s fourth appearance in 2023. It is a delight to see the bank personnel joyfully work to fill the food boxes and distribute them to the persons in the cars at the distribution area.
Dinner Bell appreciates Alliance Bank for supporting this food ministry since it’s the beginning.

New CT Scanner at CHRISTUS Mother Frances Hospital Sulphur Springs
October 15, 2023 – Sulphur Springs, TX – Healthcare and community members gathered on Thursday, October 12 to celebrate the unveiling of the new CT Scanner at CHRISTUS Mother Frances Hospital – Sulphur Springs. The event marks the culmination of the two-year project which required a room to be specially lined and renovated to accommodate the new equipment.
The scanner was purchased by CHRISTUS Mother Frances Hospital – Sulphur Springs and the Hopkins County Health Care Foundation.
The day was marked with comments from Foundation Chair Maleta Reynolds and CMF-SS Chief Nursing Officer Anitha Sanderson. A blessing of the equipment was provided by Fr. Justin Wylie, manager of pastoral care, which also involved Andy Navarro, vice president of mission integration at CHRISTUS Trinity Mother Frances, and Sister Rose Marikudi, member of the Sisters of the Mother of Mount Carmel.
During Reynold’s comments, she mentioned the benefit the community receives due to the Hopkins County Hospital District, CMF-SS, and the Foundation working together to provide the best local healthcare for citizens.
Sanderson shared the need for the new CT Scanner, which is the second one in use at CMF-SS. She said that it had been estimated prior to purchase that the new CT scanner would be used at least 7 times a day. Currently, it is averaging 9 times per day. And the need is expected to continue to increase.
