Dirt work is continuing for the new Hopkins County Jail Project. Lots of things are being dug up including some leftovers from when the first jail was built on the site. The digging has also uncovered an area high in lead content and the site of an old oil spill. Wednesday will mark a change for the Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office. Deputy Kelly Wiser will visit North Hopkins, his first school as DARE Officer, officially replacing Sgt.
