The Lady Cats’ basketball team took third place in the Winnsboro Hoopfest with a solid 41-22 win over Pine Tree Saturday afternoon. Desi Debase led the Lady Cats with 23 points. The Lady Cats surely wanted to finish higher. They fell into the third place game after Martin’s Mill rallied to defeat the Lady Cats, 41-40 Friday evening. The Lady Cats opened the tournament with wins over Gilmer and Paris. The Lady Cats are now 6-1 for the season. They’ll play at John Tyler Tuesday night.
