Lady Cat Softball at Marshall Wednesday Due to Tuesday Rain Out

After a one day delay due to wet grounds, the Lady Cats’ softball team will resume district play Wednesday. They will travel to Marshall for a 5 p.m. varsity only game.

The Lady Cats are 7-2 in district play and their season mark is 20-6. The Lady Cats have won four straight district games. They are in second place in the district standings. Lady Cats Softball Coach David Carrillo still hopes to catch front-runner Texas High and win the district championship. The Lady Cats will need some help.

Coach Carrillo says his team does controls their own destiny to be the second seed in district. The Lady Cats just need to keep winning. Texas High had a bye Tuesday in district play. The Lady Tigers and Lady Cats play Thursday at 6 p.m. at Lady Cat Park. It’s senior night for the Lady Cats. The three seniors to be honored are Kristen Allen, Hannah Crowson and Jaye Doughtie.
