The Lady Cats’ basketball team is in action at home this game day. It’s the season opener for the Lady Cats as they will play host to the always talented group from Winnsboro Tuesday evening at 7 p.m. in Wildcats Gym. There will be a JV contest first at 5:30 p.m.
Due to having five players on the volleyball team that left only three varsity players to practice until a week ago, the Lady Cats did not have a single scrimmage contest. They return everybody off last year’s 25-win district champion and playoff team except for graduate Lexie Moore. Returning are point guard Sadavia Porter, shooting guard Tori Moore, post Kaylee Jefferson and forward Daieyshia Pruitt along with forward Autumn Tanton, post Sheretta Hill and guards Imani Taylor and Destinee Weeks.
