The Wildcats’ soccer team grabbed a playoff spot with a winner take all victory over Hallsville, 2-1 in overtime Friday night. After falling behind 1-0 in the first half, the Wildcats answered to tie the game. Tanner Ramirez scored his second goal in two games to even the score. The score remained tied after regulation. During the first overtime period, the Wildcats got a second goal as Gerardo Arellano scored for the Wildcats. The Wildcats defense made it stand up. The Wildcats wound up in third place in the district standings. They will play Lufkin in a bi-district match. Details still have to be ironed out.
