Ray FerrellFuneral services for Ray Ferrell, age 85, of Sulphur Springs, have been set for 2:00PM, Friday, February 12, 2016 at Tapp Funeral Home with Bro. Joe Perkins and Bro. Edgar Clements officiating.  Interment will follow in Posey Cemetery with Lanny Ferrell, Cody Williams, Cory Ferrell, Jeff Timko, Pete Wyatt, and Caden Ferrell serving as pallbearers. His great-grandchildren are Honorary Pallbearers. A visitation will be held at Tapp Funeral Home on Thursday, February 11, 2016 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM.

Mr. Ferrell passed away Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at Sulphur Springs Health and Rehab. He was born on July 22, 1930 in Emblem, the son of Homer Ferrell and Pearl (Keith) Ferrell.  He married Nancy Pauline (Polly) Riley in Cumby on September 4, 1948.   He was a farmer, dairyman and worked for the County as foreman for Pct. 4.  He was a member of Posey Baptist Church.

Survivors include, his wife, Polly; three sons, Charles Ferrell and wife, Deborah, Stevie Ferrell and wife, Sherri and Jackey Ferrell and wife, Vicki all of Sulphur Springs; two daughters, Rose Mary Fielden and husband, Richard of Sulphur Bluff and Patty Williams and husband, Danny of Sulphur Springs;   grandchildren, Lori Timko, Lanny Ferrell, Melissa Wyatt, Cody Williams,
Stacy Williams, Bridget Albert, Cory Ferrell, Kortni Ferrell and Caden Ferrell; thirteen great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Della Wright and Jane Partridge.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Rickey Ferrell; a brother, Sedell Ferrell; and two sisters, Katherine Hooten and JoAnn Prince.

Memorials may be made to Posey Cemetery Association.
