Flash Flood Watch and Wind Advisory Begins 6 p.m. Monday

rain00066Flash Flood watch is in effect tonight for Anderson; Collin; Dallas; Delta; Ellis; Falls; Fannin; Freestone; Henderson; Hill; Hopkins; Hunt; Johnson; Kaufman; Lamar; Leon; Limestone; McLennan; Navarro; Rains; Robertson; Rockwall; Tarrant; Van Zandt Counties…. . Showers and thunderstorms will be on the increase this evening and overnight as a strong storm system moves into the region. Heavy rainfall may lead to flash flooding. The watch begins at 6 p.m. this evening and continues through Tuesday morning. Several rounds of rain may occur this evening before the main line of storms moves in overnight. Rainfall amounts of 1 to e inches with isolated higher totals are possible in the watch area.

A wind advisory begins at 6 p.m. Monday and continues through 6 a.m. Tuesday. Wind speeds will pick up this evening during the 6 p.m. until midnight time frame. Wind speeds around 25 mph with occasional gusts 30 to 40 mph can be expected. High profile vehicles, lawn furniture and other lightweight outdoor objects may be blown around by the strong winds.
