A Message of Inspiration From the Author of Living Loved, May 3, 2026
Hey friends! It’s been one of those weeks where it feels like there is no security under my feet. Feels like the ground is shifting and the weight of my steps can cause the ground to give way. Usually I am pretty good about getting quiet with God and letting his peace was over me like living water and restore that internal balance that keeps us steady even when nothing else is. The peace that surpasses all understanding. I had not done that this week. And as I was pulling out of my driveway very early this morning, I look across my yard and there on my “prayer mountain,” sat my little chair. The light of sun was breaking through the canopy of the tree tops and seemed to be shining directly on it. An invitation. Not an invitation to RSVP to come at a later date and time. But an immediate invitation into His presence. The dam broke and the tears flowed and I got out and walked the 50 yards or so to go sit on that chair and tell the Father why my heart has been heavy and He met me there with that peace that surpasses all understanding. The kind our hearts need so much in these times. So friends listen, I don’t know if you’re there too, but I do know that time with the Father is the cure to all that ails you. It may not change our situation but it will change our internal balance and He’s inviting us to come. Just like that empty chair on the little hill by my pond shining in the sunlight, He invites to come sit awhile, to let it out. And to leave lighter than before and with the peace that surpasses all understanding. You are so loved friends!! Live loved!
Philippians 4:7
And the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
Matthew 11:28-30
Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. [29] Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. [30] For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.”
