All Texas Hunter Education Instructor Association members, mark your calendars and make plans now to join us for the 2026 Annual THEIA Conference, happening May 15–17, 2026, at the Big Country Baptist Assembly Camp in Lueders, Texas! This year’s conference is shaping up to be one of the best yet, packed full of fellowship, fresh ideas, and a whole lot of valuable training for Texas Hunter Education instructors. Whether you’re a seasoned volunteer or a newer instructor looking to sharpen your skills, this is your chance to gather with fellow outdoor educators from across the Lone Star State and be part of something special.

The event is coming fast so make plans now!

The weekend will feature a full slate of instructor trainings and clinics, including opportunities for Muzzleloader, Bowhunter, and Hunter Education Instructor certification. Attendees will also enjoy scheduled off-site visits to the quail research center, a timely and engaging “Teaching to Generations” instructor clinic, and an important town hall session focused on program changes and the future of Hunter Education in Texas. This is your opportunity to hear what’s coming, ask questions, and give direct feedback as Volunteer Hunter Education Instructors of Texas share their ideas on what changes they’d like to see in the program. On top of that, THEIA will be voting on bylaw changes, so if you want your voice heard, this is the place to be!

Best of all, registration is just $50 for THEIA members and $75 for non-members (That includes meals and lodging ) —an incredible value for a weekend loaded with training, networking, and input into the future of our program. That’s a heap of training for a mighty small price! Don’t miss this chance to grow as an instructor, connect with friends old and new, and help shape the future of Texas Hunter Education. We’ll see y’all in Lueders this May!
