Uncork Texas Wines Program Sponsors TEXSOM 2025 Podcast

September 7, 2025 – The Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) has announced its continued sponsorship of the TEXSOM 2025 podcast series through its Uncork Texas Wines program, partnering with TEXSOM and the Italian Wine Podcast for the second consecutive year. The initiative aims to elevate the profile of Texas wineries and grape growers while connecting them with an international wine audience.

Commissioner Sid Miller emphasized that the sponsorship aligns with TDA’s mission to strengthen Texas’ wine community, saying the collaboration helps “expand the dialogue and showcase the passion and quality that characterize our state’s wine culture.”

The Italian Wine Podcast will release exclusive episodes leading up to and during the TEXSOM 2025 conference, featuring respected voices from the global wine and hospitality industry. Hosted by wine journalist Jessica Dupuy, DipWSET, the series will include conversations with leading experts such as James Tidwell MS, Christy Frank, Jonathan Ross MS, Tim Gaiser MS, Amanda Barnes MW, and Kathleen Thomas.

Each episode will include a special segment titled “Texas Wine Tidbit,” spotlighting unique stories and insights from the people, regions, and vineyards shaping Texas wine. With the Italian Wine Podcast’s global reach—boasting more than 2,400 episodes and 7 million listens since 2017—the partnership provides Texas wines with a powerful international stage.
