The Hopkins County Breast Cancer Support Group Meets Monday

August 7, 2025 – Sulphur Springs, Texas – The next meeting of the Hopkins County Breast Cancer
Support Group, sponsored by the Hopkins County Health Care Foundation, is this Monday, August 11. As usual, the meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m. in the Medical Plaza, 113 Airport Road, which is the three-story building in front of CHRISTUS Mother Frances Hospital – Sulphur Springs.

This month’s speaker is Amy Newsom. Amy is a trained Family Nurse Practitioner with a focus on integrating natural health practices, diet and lifestyle changes to improve cancer outcomes and overall health. She will share her testimony about what wonders simple self care has done for people in her life and the importance of knowing your own body.

Any woman who has been through cancer is welcome to join. Meetings often include prayers requests, testimonies, card writing, outreach discussion, and light refreshments. Attendees are welcome to bring a friend or loved one for support.

The Hopkins County Health Care Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit that has served Hopkins County since 1997. The Foundation expands Hopkins County healthcare opportunities through free programs, clinics, and educational resources as well as by funding equipment for the Hopkins County Hospital District/EMS and CHRISTUS Mother Frances Hospital – Sulphur Springs.
