Jeffrey Elliott

December 20, 1969 — April 9, 2026

Jeffrey Lance Elliott, a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on April 9, 2026, at the age of 56.

Born in Dallas, Texas, on December 20, 1969, Jeff was raised in Grand Saline before making his home in Sulphur Springs. He was the son of the late Lynn Parker and Hoppie Elliott.

Jeff was defined by a tremendous work ethic and an incredible sense of humor that could brighten any room. He dedicated 25 years of his professional life to Chili’s Grill & Bar, where his leadership and commitment shone brightly. For eight years, he served as the Managing Partner of the Sulphur Springs location, a role he held with great pride and where he was known as a hardworking mentor and friend to many.

Outside of work, Jeff was an avid outdoorsman who found peace while fishing and hunting. A spirited fan of the Dallas Cowboys and Texas A&M Aggies, he could often be found cheering on his favorite teams… even though they continued to bring disappointment every year. He is remembered by many for his integrity, his ability to accurately impersonate voices and actors, but definitely not for his sarcasm. Above all else, Jeff was a “family man” in the truest sense. His greatest joy was found in the time spent with those he loved.

Jeff’s legacy of hard work and laughter lives on through his family and friends. He is survived by his beloved wife, Deborah Elliott; his children, Hunter Elliott (and wife Mattison) and Noah Elliott; and his three cherished grandchildren, Jeremiah Perry, Ezekiel Elliott, and Mercy Elliott.

He is also survived by his sister, Eve Hogue (and husband Bobby); his brother, Lance Greer; and his brother-in-law, Doug DeBord. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lynn and Hoppie.
