Rose A Ausbie

April 27, 1935 ~ March 4, 2026 (age 90)

God planted a tender rose in His garden on April 27, 1935, named Rose A. Jones by way of R. B. Jones and Mae Dee Harrison, and on the eve of March 4, 2026, He scooped her back into His eternal hands.

But while she was here, this rose began to grow and sprouted into a beautiful bud and accepted Christ at an early age. Along her blooming years she was espoused to Arthur Childs in the year 1947, and to this union four children were planted, three daughters, Myra McGill, Katie Robinson, Dorothy Ford, and a son, Arthur Childs, Jr., who passed at birth.

As the rose continue to flourish, Rose became the pioneer of our family by choosing her peace over pain. and closed the chapter of her union with her children’s father. While gathering in the fields of life, a God-fearing gentleman by the name of Napolean Ausbie asked for her hand in marriage and this union blended her three daughters and his five daughters, Claire Tishie Ausbie-Collins, Sharon Ausbie, Gloria Ausbie, and Barbara Barkins together. They remained happily married until his untimely death in 2010.

Throughout her years, Rose served as a loving mother, grandmother, and wife, while working in the industry as a domestic, healthcare attendant, and a fashion model for Cathrine’s clothing store in Lubbock, TX.

She leaves to cherish her memory: her three daughters, eleven grandchildren, Excellent McGill, III, Aretha Williams, Michelle Ivery, Jeramie McGill, Christopher Ausbie, Regina Hall, Joy Dugan, Brandy Ausbie, Felicia Stephens, Clifton Cleveland, Jr., and Jermain Cleveland, and a host of great- and great, great-grandchildren, aunts, nieces, nephews, and three very special friends: Pastor James and Janice Whitehead, and Anna Maria out of Lubbock, TX.
