Funeral Service for Frances Sills, age 86, of Sulphur Springs, Texas will be held at 11:30 AM on Tuesday, March 3, 2026 at Tapp Funeral Home with Father Victor Hernadez officiating. Frances Sills passed away at Carriage House Manor on Friday, February 27, 2026.
Frances Sills was born on August 25, 1939, in San Antonio, Texas to Jesus and Antonia (Sandoval) Salas. Frances married the love of her life, Aubrey Wayne Sills, on September 9, 1959, in San Antonio, Texas. They enjoyed 65 years of marriage together.
Frances enjoyed a good life; family was her number one priority. She was a great cook and never got too old to cook delicious meals for her family and friends. She enjoyed playing cards, Frances loved tending to her rose garden. She loved her little dogs, Cadberry and JJ the Cockapoo. Frances could never have enough time with her grandchildren and family. Frances always prayed for her family, and she said her rosary each evening before bed. She was a great prayer warrior.
Frances is survived by sons, John Sills (Melissa) of Knoxville, Tennessee, Donald Sills (Dana) of Sulphur Springs, Texas, Ronald Sills (Rachelle) of Sulphur Springs, Texas; daughter, Patricia Jean Jacobs (Marcus) of Commerce, Texas; seven grandchildren; and two great grandchildren; brothers, Raymond Salas, Jerry Salas, Ralph Salas, Robert Salas, Jimmie Salas, Mark Salas, Eddie Salas, Arnold Salas; sisters, Connie Rendon, Ester Silva, Dolly Salas and Terry Hubbard.
Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Aubrey Wayne Sills; parents, Jesus and Antonia (Sandoval) Salas; sisters Janie Lopez and Mary Lou Johnson; brothers, Jesse Salas, Henry Salas, Arnalfo Salas and Floyd Salas.
