A Message of Inspiration From the Author of Living Loved, March 8, 2026
Hey friends! As I was driving through town today, I realized that I was seeing things so much more clearly out my front windshield than I had been. You see, about a year ago I bought my car. It was brand new. I was so thankful for this blessing. You see I had never owned anything brand new before! Nor had I ever been able to pick something out that I wanted. I had always just went along with whatever my (ex) spouse gave me. I was so thankful for this little car. Friends listen, not 2 weeks after owning this cute little car a rock was kicked up on the interstate and put a tiny chip in the glass right where it meets the rubber on the edge. And you know what happened, it began to crack nearly all the way across my windshield, leaving only about 8 inches without that single line going across the windshield about eye height. I just adjusted my seat up and kept going. Cause life. I’m sure you’ve been there. A small little thing happens that gets left unattended to and pretty soon it creeps across our whole line of sight and we are so used to it being there we just kinda lose sight of it.
Anyway, so here we are a year later and I finally decide to go ahead and get that windshield replaced. It is beautiful again!! I was so excited. They even put a brow tint on it! That happened on Thursday. Today I realized that my contacts were no longer blurry while I was driving and that’s when it hit me, it was the crack. The small, single line across the middle of my windshield had been causing me to not see clearly and I did not even realize it.
So friends, my question is, what “crack” are you viewing life through? Past hurts? Bitterness? Anger? Broken relationships? Lies the enemy has told you? You see, all those things will cause us to view life through a cracked windshield and whether we realize it or not, it will change the way we see things. I challenge you today, to ask the Lord to help you view life through the clear lens of the Holy Spirit, letting the truth of who He says you are, the promises of God promise us, and through the blood bought sacrifice Jesus died for; letting that be the lens you view life, circumstances and people through. The cracks in life will not allow us to see the whole picture well. But faith, faith will let us see things through hope, through love, through promise. Not through hurt and brokenness. Friends, change the way you see and everything you see, will look different.
You are so loved, live loved friends!!
