Timothy Darryl Cheek

August 26, 1964 – December 11, 2025

Timothy Darryl Cheek, 61, beloved husband, father, and friend, went to his heavenly home on Thursday, December 11, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Tim was born on August 26, 1964, to John and Ella Cheek.

Tim shared 36 wonderful years with his beloved wife and best friend. They loved spending time together, traveling and going places, riding the golf cart, and simply enjoying life side by side. He is remembered for his strong work ethic and his deep love for both his family and his faith. He was a devoted husband, a proud father, grandfather, loyal brother, and friend. He found joy in the outdoors, especially boating and riding bikes.

Tim spent many years coaching Brett and Niki’s teams and devoted countless hours to the ball fields, where he built lifelong friendships through the game. He was a hard worker who faithfully provided for his family and led by example. He was employed for the last 15 years as the manager of Car-Mart of Sulphur Springs, where he was well respected for his leadership, work ethic, and genuine care for colleagues and customers alike. He touched countless lives through his steady presence and warm spirit.

Above all, Tim was a believer in Jesus and loved Him deeply, living his life with faith as his foundation.

Tim is survived by his wife, Sivi Cheek; children, Brett Cheek and wife, Keilani, and Niki Davis and husband, Jeremy; granddaughters, Kynlie and Kambrie Cheek; grand dog, Kash; brothers, Chris Cheek and wife, Le-Anna, James Cheek and wife, Haley; parents, John and Patsy Cheek; step-brothers, Scott Banks and wife, Charlotte, Greg Banks and wife, Brittany, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Ella Cheek.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2025 at 2 p.m. at South Jefferson Baptist Church, with Bro. Tommy Oglesby officiating. Visitation will take place prior to the service at 1 p.m. Interment will follow at Gray Rock Cemetery in Winfield, Texas.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Morris, Bobby Jenkins, Keith Abrom, David Huffman, Darrell Huffman, and Chuck Tawil. Honorary pallbearers will be Curtis DeLoney, Paul Harris, and Casey Taylor.

To honor his legacy, a memorial scholarship fund will be set up; details will be announced at a later time.
