October 12, 2025 – In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Hopkins County Health Care Foundation invites the public to our ladies-only breast health event, Celebrate “the girls”, on Monday, October 13th. The party will be from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm in the Medical Plaza, 113 Airport Road. There will be refreshments, door prizes, and educational resources for breast health.
Johanna Hicks will lead a demonstration of self-exams using a prosthetic breast model allowing ladies to learn how to detect lumps by touch and Stefany Walton from the Ruth and Jack Gillis Women’s Center will talk a bit about the importance of mammograms. The ladies of the Breast Cancer Support Group are the hostesses.
The Hopkins County Health Care Foundation and the Ladies of the Breast Cancer Support Group hope to teach ladies how to monitor their breast health and show them there is a future beyond breast cancer.
