Funeral Service for Brenda Bearden Pogue, age 76, will be at 2:00 p.m. on October 30, 2025, at West Oaks Funeral Home with Pastor Cody Ryan Chester officiating. Hayden Pogue, Richard Dannheim, Dylan Dannheim, Dallas Dannheim, Brian Milton, and John Milton will be serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Elijah Pogue, Gabriel Pogie, and Randy Chester. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow the service at Brashear Cemetery. Brenda passed away on October 26, 2025, in Tyler, Texas.
Brenda Pogue, 76, of Tyler, Texas, passed away peacefully on October 26, 2025. Born on January 4, 1949, in Sulphur Springs, TX, Brenda lived a life filled with love and unwavering devotion to her family. She loved to travel with her sisters, children, and grandchildren.
Brenda was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Pauline Bearden and Willie Claude “Bud” Bearden, and brother, James Bearden. Their memories remained close to her heart throughout her life.
She is survived by her sons, Brandon Pogue and wife, April, of Tyler, Texas, and Chris Pogue and his wife, Kimberly, also of Tyler, Texas, as well as her beloved grandchildren Hannah Pogue, Haley Pogue, Hayden Pogue, Elijah Pogue, Gabriel Pogue, and Olivia Pogue and great-grandchildren Sophia Duran, Lilliana Duran and Camiilla Duran, each of whom brought immense joy into her life. Brenda’s grandchildren meant the world to their ‘Gran’ and she delighted in everything about being a grandmother.
She is also survived by her cherished sisters, Rose Gafford of Tyler, Texas; Paulette Milton of Las Vegas, Nevada; twin sister Linda Chester and husband Randall Chester of Sulphur Springs, Texas. Brenda leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews who will honor her memory with love and gratitude.
Brenda dedicated many years of hard work to her career at Trane in Tyler, Texas, where she retired.
Brenda will be remembered for her strong spirit, warm heart, and the kindness she shared freely with others. Her legacy will continue to live on in the lives of those who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed and forever treasured.
