Wesley Carrol Bogue, age 65 of Scroggins, Texas passed away Sunday, August 31, 2025, at his residence.
Wesley was born to Hughie Carrol Bogue and Patricia Ann Swarts Bogue in Titus County on March 21, 1960.
Wesley, a beloved son, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away leaving behind a legacy rooted in hard work, loyalty, and a deep love for the outdoors. Whether he was hunting in the woods or fishing on a quiet lake, Wesley found peace in nature and joy in its simple gifts.
A proud member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW), Wesley dedicated many years to the coal mine, where his strength and commitment earned the respect of all who worked alongside him. He was also a proud teammate of the 1978–79 Mount Vernon Tigers football team, whose journey to the quarterfinals remains a cherished memory in the community.
Wesley leaves to cherish his memory, his loving mother, Patricia Johnson; his children, Deric Bogue and Rashelle (Carlos) Palma; his granddaughters, Charlee Palma and Kinzley Bogue; and his siblings, Jerry W. (Paulette) Bogue and Melissa (Burt) Green.
He is preceded in death by his father, Hughie Bogue, and his son, Wesley Shane Bogue.
Wesley will be remembered for his quiet strength, his love of the land, and the legacy he leaves behind in the hearts of family, friends, and fellow Tigers.
Visitation will be on Sunday, September 7, 2025, at 1:00 pm with the Memorial Service following at 2 pm at Sam B. Harvey Funeral Home with Pepper Puryear officiating.
