Michelleene (Mikey) DeBruler Girard

Michelleene (Mikey) DeBruler Girard, age 75, of Scroggins, Texas, passed away on Sunday, August 31, 2025, at her residence surrounded by her family.

She was born to Franklin Bernard DeBruler and Charlotte Frances Harker DeBruler on July 13,1950, in Bremeton, Washington.

Mikey married Michael Raymond Girard on July 18, 1970, in Spokane, Washington.

A fiery spirit with red hair and a heart full of devotion, Mikey was a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend whose legacy lives on in the lives she shaped and the love she gave so freely.

She raised three boys—three swimmers whose practices and meets she never missed, cheering from the sidelines with unwavering pride. A homemaker by choice and by passion, she poured her heart into raising her sons, four if you counted her husband, Michael. Her kitchen was a place of laughter and learning, where she inspired her boys to become not just good men, but great cooks.

She found joy in music, cherished her friendships, and was deeply involved in the vibrant lake community of Eldorado Drive. Whether discussing novels in the book club, sharing a toast in the wine club, or tending blooms in the garden club, she brought warmth, wit, and wisdom to every gathering.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory: her husband Michael; her sons Brian Girard, Chris (Melanie) Girard, and Jeff (Emily) Girard; her grandchildren Alexis Girard, Morgan Girard, Carolina Girard, Jonny Girard, Lily Girard, and Julia Girard; her sister-in-law Judy; and her niece Renee Malevaine-Turk.

Her presence was a gift, her absence a profound loss. She leaves behind a legacy of love, loyalty, and laughter that will echo in the hearts of all who knew her.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2025 at 1:00 pm with the funeral service following at 2 pm at Sam B. Harvey Funeral Home with Joseph Flieder officiating.
