Celebrate “the girls” – a Fun Night of Hands-On Learning for Breast Health
September 30, 2025 – Sulphur Springs, Texas – Join the Hopkins County Health Care Foundation for a fun evening of door prizes, snacks, mocktails, and breast health education at Celebrate “the girls”. This ladies-
only event is for all ages and will be held on Monday, October 13 at 5:30 p.m. in the Medical Plaza, 113 Airport Road.
In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the lovely ladies of the Hopkins County Breast Cancer Support Group are hosting a party for the public featuring a self-exam demonstration.
Johanna Hicks will lead the demonstration using a prosthetic breast model, allowing attendees to detect what a lump feels like in breast tissue.
Women’s clubs, friend groups, moms and daughters, and any other ladies who would like to attend – please take advantage of this opportunity for a hands-on learning experience hosted by ladies who have found life and purpose on the other side of cancer, are actively fighting cancer, or are supporters of the group.
Early detection is the best prevention. The Foundation is sponsoring a free mammography clinic that covers the cost of 75 mammograms. Uninsured Hopkins County women age 40 and up may call (903) 438-4325 to schedule an appointment Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
