Brenda Baxley was born on January 22, 1941, in Commerce, Texas, to George Raymond and Jimmie Lou (Turner) Fults. On February 14, 1959, she married the love of her life, Travis Baxley, at First Baptist Church in Commerce. Their marriage was a beautiful testament to love and devotion, lasting 61 wonderful years. Brenda was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church.

After graduating from Commerce High School, Brenda attended beauty school and began her career as a hairdresser. She later began a long and successful tenure at First National Bank in Commerce, where she worked for 18 years and rose to the position of Vice President. Brenda concluded her professional journey in the accounting department at Raytheon in Greenville, Texas.

In retirement, Brenda found her greatest joy in caring for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were the light of her life. Known for her cheerful spirit and playful sense of humor, she loved to laugh and “cut up” with those around her. Brenda cherished time spent with family and friends, especially playing cards and Wahoo. She also enjoyed scratching lottery tickets with her beloved mother-in-law, Estelle Baxley, and making trips to the casino. She had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and found peace in simple pleasures like picking up pecans.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her loving daughter, Rhonda Lemon and husband David of Cumby, Texas; grandchildren Raisha Rector and husband Jason, Haley Meisenheimer and husband Kevin, and Lindsey Parrish and husband Jeramy; great-grandchildren Jacob Groves, Chloe Groves, Kelcie Fite, Ally Meisenheimer, Macie Meisenheimer, Brynli Meisenheimer, Landon Lay, and Claire Parrish. She is also survived by her brothers, Wiley Fults and wife Diana of Greenville, Texas, and Bobby Fults and wife Charlene of Commerce, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Travis Baxley; her parents, Ray and Jimmie Lou Fults; her twin sister, Glenda Davenport; her son, Randy Baxley; and her in-laws, Estelle and Connie Baxley.
