The nostalgic flavor, first introduced as a limited release nearly a decade ago, blends Dr Pepper’s signature 23 flavors with the creamy sweetness of vanilla ice cream. Its return has sparked a wave of enthusiasm, especially in Central Texas, where the drink holds a special place in the hearts (and fridges) of loyal fans.
Dr Pepper, which was founded in Waco, Texas, confirmed the flavor’s comeback as a regional release, saying it wanted to “celebrate the community where the brand was born.” The announcement has prompted some stores to implement purchase limits after reports of customers stocking up in bulk.
