A Message of Inspiration From the Author of Living Loved, March 9, 2025
Friends, have you ever had that day where it just feels like everything is heavy? Today has been that for me. Maybe it’s been the last week. Honestly, it’s probably been the last few years that have been heavy. But anyway, today I have had to stay in constant prayer. Constantly lifting my heart up to the Lord and saying I trust you with it. Over. And over. And over. As I was cleaning and just in a constant state of dialogue with the Lord, not really complaining, just trying to let something go that’s hard to let go, I looked down and saw a penny. And if you know me, you know how I feel about pennys. They are such a sweet reminder from the Lord that I can trust him. (It says it right on the penny “in God we trust”) so I bend down, pick up the penny and said “I trust you Lord” and I sat down to just run my heart through one more time that we can trust the Lord.
And I’m reminded of Daniel 3:17&18 If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to deliver us from it, and he will deliver us from Your Majesty’s hand. But even if he does not, we want you to know, Your Majesty, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up.”
And I think Lord, I KNOW YOU ARE ABLE AND I KNOW YOU CAN, but EVEN IF you don’t, I will still praise you and you are still good and faithful and worthy and gracious.
So friends, maybe you’re sitting in your chair when you should be mopping (maybe it’s just me) and your running your mind crazy like a hamster on a wheel, thinking this way and that way and maybe and possibly and what ifs and what nots and who and where and why. And maybe the Lord wants to get your attention, maybe he’s giving you an opportunity to say “I trust you Lord, even if, even when, even though, and even through, and even now in the darkness of the situation. Even when I can’t see and even when it hurts. And even when the tears fall and the breath shudders. I. TRUST. YOU.”
Oh friend, you are so loved!! Live loved!!
