March 3, 2023- Sulphur Springs City Council is meeting March 7 to discuss the annexation of a Hwy 11 property owned by Oak National Development, LLC. The council will first hold a public hearing to hear comments from those who may be affected by the annexation. Members of the City Council will then discuss and act on Ordinance 2825 on it’s first reading. If approved on the upcoming meeting, Ordinance 2825 will appear on a future agenda for consideration. The property related to Ordinance 2825 is a approximately 281 acre tract located west of the Stonebriar neighborhood off of Highway 11 West and backs up to the KCS railroad to the south. It is currently located within the Extra Territorial Jurisdiction as it is located just outside the city limits of Sulphur Springs.
