Kathy was born on September 2, 1960, in Sulphur Springs, Texas to Ada Kathryn Van Holten and John Harlin McCreary.
Kathy is survived by her loving husband, Jimmie Leeroy Rogers. Kathy and Jimmie loved spending time together camping and being with family. Kathy would dance around the campfire while Jimmie would grill. They made many beautiful memories together. Kathy also leaves behind two sons and two stepdaughters and their families. Kathy loved her sons, daughters-in-love, and stepdaughters more than anything. Her face would light up when she spoke of them, and they loved spending time together. Kathy also leaves behind many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Kathy loved being a MeMe most of all.
Sons are Brandon Rogers, wife Marilyn and Kenneth Rogers, wife Kim. Stepdaughters are Jackie Rogers and Kaylee Rogers. Grandchildren are Chelsey Ribeiro, husband Rafa, Jacie Rogers, Dylan Jester, Blake Jester, Ethan Rogers, Jaden Rogers, Caidence Holloway, Mahala Holloway, Alex Rogers, Holden Rogers, Elijah Carpenter, and Lily Holt. Great-grandchildren are Gabriel Ribeiro, Raphael Ribeiro, Daniel Ribeiro, Emma Grace Ribeiro, and Journee Vanover.
Kathy also has several loving siblings: Cynthia Byers, Debra Oetting, John D McCreary, Terry McCreary, wife Betsy, Jackie Van Holten, and Steven Van Holten. One sibling, James Paul McCreary preceded her in death. She also has numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other friends and family.

Kathy worked at M&F Western for 18 years and loved her work family. She also loved George Strait, the Dallas Cowboys, and country music. Kathy would dance anywhere when country music would play. Kathy was a breast cancer survivor and proudly supported causes to find a cure. Kathy loved Jesus and her family finds peace in knowing she is dancing in Heaven.
Visitation services will be held at West Oaks Funeral Home on Sunday February 5th from 6:00-8:00pm. Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 6th at 2:00pm at New Beginnings Fellowship Baptist Church. Burial service at Tira Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ethan Rogers, Blake Jester, Dylan Jester, Alex Rogers, Caidence Holloway, J.P. Whittle, Jonathan Van Holten, Heston Golightly, and Hayden Golightly. Honorary pallbearers will be Holden Rogers, Jon Rogers, Glenn Wiedenbeck, Chris Perkins, Steve Brock, Zane Underwood, and Logan Vanover.
