Wister Godbolt III

Funeral service for Wister Godbolt III, age 69 of Greenville, Texas will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at Morning Chapel Missionary Baptist Church with Bro Larrenzo Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Mel Haven Cemetery with Archie Lindley, Lee Pogue, Terry Wright, Freddy Robertson, Sam Gassoway and Rudy Ellis serving as pallbearers and Pete Nash, Eurrie Rembert, Charles Perry, nephews and grandsons serving as honorary pallbearers. Visitation will be held from 8:00
am to 5:00 P.M. on Friday, January 27, 2023 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home. Mr. Godbolt passed away on January 23, 2023 at Legends Health Care.

Wister was born on August 18, 1953 in Sulphur Springs, Texas to Wister Godbolt II and Marie (Bowser) Godbolt. He married Dorothy Annett Patt on October 11, 2003 in Ladonia, Texas. Wister worked as a flowserve, salesperson and parts for Jackson Autoplex, Nissan of Greenville and D&E Auto. He was a deacon involved with the Young Men in Action and Brotherhood group with his church. Wister was a member of the Little Bethel Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Annett; daughters, Shandis L. Young (Cory), LaTrivia Taylor and LeQuisha Smith (Larrenzo); son, Adrian Godbolt (Laci); grandchildren, JaQuentin (Haley), Larrenzo Jr (Princess), Britney, KaDadrian (Olivia), DeJarian (Jocelyn), D’Corian, Dai’Shawn, Amira, Kobe, Addison, Coryn, Xzadrian, Adin, Kaidence, Kyia, Bobby and Faith; great grandchildren, Laveah, Jaycion, Larrenzo Jr III, Zareyon, Kalayah and Karter; sisters, Jackie Jackson (Leonard “Bo”), Dollie
Kelly (Oscar) and Pat Morgan; brothers, Ricky Godbolt (Anita), David Godbolt (Karen).

Wister was preceded in death by his parents; son, Jarian Godbolt; sisters, Clydia, Maedell, Dorothy, Elizabeth Ann and brother, Odell.
