Funeral service for Kenny Ivey, age 53 of Sulphur Springs, Texas will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday,
January 21, 2023 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home with Rev. CJ Duffey. Interment will follow at City
Cemetery with Chuck Bannister, Mike Garner, Jeremy Garner, Steven Jonaitis, Jermond Amos, Matthew
Cavanaugh, Brian Carney serving as pallbearers and “Tiny” Jerome Chapman Jr and Jeff Bledsoe
serving as honorary pallbearers. Visitation will be held one-hour prior for the service. Mr. Ivey passed
away on January 13, 2023 at his residence.
Kenny was born on December 1, 1969 in Dallas, Texas to Kenneth Ray Ivey and Patricia (Lott) Allison.
He married Keesha LaShon Gibbs on March 19, 1992 in Sulphur Springs, Texas. Kenny worked as a
truck driver.
He is survived by his daughters, Katelin Hubbard and husband, Chris, Kenzie Ivey and husband, Carols
Lira, Kaycee Ivey; son, Kohlson Ivey and wife, Katie Green; brothers, Chuck Bannister and wife, Sonya,
Mike Garner; numerous nieces and nephews.
Kenny was preceded in death by his wife, Keesha Ivey, mother and stepfather, Patricia Allison and
husband, Wayne; father and stepmother, Kenneth Ivey and Carol; brother, Brad Garner.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Jerome “Tiny” Chapman Jr, Kenny’s special friend and
brother.
