Flora Mae McWilliams

Funeral services for Flora Mae McWilliams, age 88, affectionately called Granny, of Brashear, will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 26, 2023 at West Oaks Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. David Burns officiating. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to service time at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Greenview Cemetery with Jacob McDonald, James Clay McDonald, Don Brown, Steve Lohner, Charles Ciruti and Craig Heberer serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Merissa Brown, Nicole Lohner, Vanessa Lohner’, Courtney Bailey and Doug Lewis. Flora passed away on Friday, January 20, 2023 at Christus Mother Frances Hospital. Flora was born on April 4, 1934 in Haworth, OK, the daughter of Robert Jefferson Provence and Bertha Mae Turnage Provence. She married Johnny McWilliams on March 21, 1953 in Sunnyvale, TX. Flora traveled across the United States camping and fishing where she loved watching wildlife and nature. She also collected antiques and was an avid reader. She was a huge Dallas Cowboy fan. In addition to her husband Johnny she is survived by her children, Ben McWilliams of Wills Point, Kathy McDonald Lewis and husband Doug of Brashear, Diane Brown and husband Donald of Wills Point and Alethea Lohner and husband Steve of Scurry, brother, Carrol Provence and wife Patsy of Wills Point, sisters, Sarah Slayton of Edgewood and Shirley Provence of Clarksville, TN, grandchildren, Jacob McDonald and wife Robyn, James Clay McDonald and wife Brandi, Merissa Brown and husband Craig, Courtney Bailey and husband Milton, Nicole Lohner and husband Charles, and Vanessa Lohner, 13 great grandchildren and numerous extended family and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Thomas Arthor Provence and a granddaughter, Melanie McWilliams.
