A graveside service for Tess Furguson, age 89, of Cumby, Texas, will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, October 5, 2022, at Ridgeway Cemetery with Don Kearby officiating. Visitation will be held at the cemetery 30 minutes prior to service. Mrs. Furguson passed away on September 30, 2022.
Tess was born on May 24, 1933, in Brownwood, Texas, to Oral Evans and Lorene (Baugh) Evans. She married Roy Lemyel Furguson on January 21, 1956, in Irving, Texas, whom she dearly loved and had lost last year in November. She was a homemaker for many years.
She is survived by daughters, Glenda Hickman of Cumby, Susan Furguson of Cumby, and Diana Abbott and husband Terry of Princeton; son, Mike Furguson and wife, Linda, of Terrell; sister, Elna Clark; brother, Ben Evans; grandsons, Travis, and Jake and wife Becca; granddaughter, Madison; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Tess was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Furguson, and parents.
