Funeral service for Shirley Jean “Honey” Lornson, age 82 of Sulphur Springs, TX will be held at 2:00P.M. on Monday, March 14, 2022 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Chapel with Bishop Jason Connor officiating. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park with Aidan Lornson, Cody Morgan, Justin Jumper, Jonathan Orvis, Blake Weir and Jalen Jumper serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service. Mrs. Lornson passed away on March 11, 2022 at Dallas Regional Medical Center.
“Honey” was born on July 23, 1939 in Mt.Vernon, TX to William B. Johnson and Ophelia Scroggins Johnson. She married Gary Lee Lornson on March 10, 1977. She worked at Johnson’s Cleaners for 20 years and was also a homemaker. “Honey” was of the Christian faith.
She is survived by her husband, Gary; daughters, Melissa Woodard and husband, Gerald and Cathy Johnson and husband, Joe Don; sons, David Morgan and wife, Donita and Keith Lornson and wife, Regina; grandchildren, Justin Jumper, Haley Orvis, Kayla Weir, Cody Morgan, Aidan Lornson, Amanda Baxter, Scooter Woodard, Gerad Woodard and Anna Pecina; numerous great grandchildren; brother, Joe Mack Johnson and wife, Robin and numerous nieces and nephews.
“Honey” was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Larry Johnson.
